Knitters Retreat

You do not want to be left out!
Friday October 2- Monday October 5, 2009
Knitting Needles Clip-ArtDear Holly, I am sure you have heard of our annual knitter’s retreat to the Grand Hotel in Point Clear, Alabama. This is a 4 day, 3 night trip. We will again do some charity knitting, and if you would like we will offer some technique classes. Most of all it is a time to knit together and relax.(Did I mention that the door prizes get better every year???)This year, there will be a 2 night option as well.We need to have an estimate of the numbers of folks wanting to go soon. If you would like to go and need a room mate we will try to find one for you. For more information, please call or email Memory. Her # is 822-0433, her email Deposit is due by June 1st.
Beginning in June:
We will have workshops/classes on Friday afternoons from 1:15-3pm. The only exception is June 12 when I will be gone to market. The first one in June will be a finishing class. Bring a garment that needs to be put together or several swatches. The cost of the class is $20. It will be limited to the first 4 people who sign up.
What kind of classes would you like to take?
Let me know what you are interested in so that we can offer it. Is there a technique you would like to learn? Respond to this email if so.
Coming soon: “Iwill dye for you” party
No, not really… I have had customers in the past interested in undyed yarn. Well… I have some beautiful organic cotton that is “dyeing” to be dyed. I am studying about it and having some help, but we want to do it on a Saturday afternoon or Sunday afternoon when the parking lot will be empty and we can be outside. Let me know if you are interested. I have the yarn in a dk weight and a “bulky”weight which to me is a worsted weight.
Think about the retreat and the classes. Let us know if you have questions or want to sign up for any of them.Thank youto everyone who has asked about Will. He is doing better, but he is not healing fast enough for his mommy. I understand that shaving tonsils can really get a boy down. I expect him to bounce back any day. Hope your end of school season is not too hectic. See you soon! Sincerely, Holly Tenison
